On the Up and Up

Life has been getting increasingly better the last couple of weeks. The lowering of my immune suppressing drugs has really begun to take effect. My friends have begun to notice that I seem quite different than I did just a week ago. There is a little spring to my step. Things have started to get a little easier, like getting out of my car and picking up groceries.

Just a couple of weeks ago I had to get a new handicapped badge for my car. Now I don't think I even need it (there's 18 bucks down the drain). Last week my gyno-oncologist said my surgery has turned out well and my vagina will have a life again. My thumbs up, oncologist appointment on Thursday was just like the icing on the cake. I don't feel exceptionally good or like myself again just yet but I finally feel like it's right around the corner.

My oncologist thinks that all the family traumas I've had since the surgery has set me back a little. I only posted the first 2 here on my blog. I've been back and forth to the hospital, doctors and specialists. It feels a little weird to be at all these places and it's not about me for once.

I'm quite confident that all these things will work out and everything will be fine...including me.

Just came across from Baldy's. Read through some of your archives. I'll be back but in the meantime I just wanted to say that your news today put a smile on my face. I'm truly happy for you and extremely pleased that things seemed to be looking up!

Keep your chin up, and on days that you can't, say fuck whenever you feel like it :)
