Made it to Calgary!

I made it to Calgary where I am staying with a friend. There is NO snow here but I did drive though some up in the mountains. That gave me a bit of a freaky moment but after 10 minutes it stopped. I may not get to Regina for the photography show but If I don't, I will be just as happy. I'll go to the Vancouver one whenever that arrives. I just needed to go, and here I am. I am gone.

:)

Maybe I will be able to add some photo highlights in the morning.

A few months ago, I actually went away for a weekend to a friend's cabin in the mountains and drove myself there. As I was driving, I realized it had been nearly two years since I had gone off by myself like that. Something that I used to take for granted I think. These little things are what is important in getting our lives back. I hope you have a wonderful trip where ever you end up!

Sometimes it's the journey, sometimes it's the destination, other times it's both.

Whatever. Sounds like you're having a great time.

That is about 830km linear distance. It's like once from North to South through the whole Germany.
Canada is really huge.
Cool. Have fun!

Jens.

Caroline, yes, getting away by yourself has such a different impact on your psyche. So far it's been good.

Susan C - I'm not sure yet whether it's the journey or the destination? Today is my day with the destination!

Jens - yes, Canada is HUGE. Incredibly huge! You really figure that out when you start driving across it. It's also amazingly beautiful.
