I packed up and said goodbye to 11 paintings yesterday. Someone who is helping me with the show came by to take them so I wouldn't have to haul them later.

I spent the night before and part of the morning, attaching the hanging wires and signing them. The day before that, I did all my photo documentation. The photos turned out amazingly well, mostly due to my fab helper. Okay, he was mostly here for the cheer factor but it did the trick.

I'm very proud of my new work. I created colourful skyscapes for a few reasons. I've been very inspired by the colour fields of Mark Rothko and I use colour as an experience of emotion, this work echoes the work I was creating when I fell ill...and my hands aren't able to to cooperate because they shake.

This one stayed behind because it couldn't fit in her car. That's okay, though, because I just thought of a great place to hang it on my wall.
