Bob Ross Rocks My World

I'm regressing a little today which is okay. I'm a little bit miffed by my Young Women with Cancer group last night. I'm also a bit put off because I had a hospital app. earlier and my home support worker just arrived with a story of a 17 year old girl in my town who just died of Leukemia.

Next thing you know I was online checking it out. The girl actually lives in the States. Why do people love to tell me about others who have died from Leukemia? Then, since I was there, I was checking the statistics on my cancer. Yuk.

Now I've kicked back and am watching Bob Ross. I remember watching him when I was 5 and fantasizing about being able to paint like that. I'd say my style is somewhat "different" to Bob Ross' but I really enjoyed his soothing voice today. "We'll put some sunny yellow here, and some happy little trees over there..."

Bob Ross, you rock my world.

Statistics smistics! The only facts any of us can go on is that we are alive right now. Anyone, and I mean anyone could pop their clogs at any time. Worrying about it isn't going to bring it any faster or push it any further away.

Sorry if that sounds a bit blunt, but I've learned from the M.E. that all you ever have is this moment. Some days I can walk other days I hurt to much to stand up. I can't tell from one day to the next which it will be. Live life for the moment and stop looking up statistics that are after all about other people and not you.

You're doing so much more every time I read this blog and you are flourishing before my eyes as I read each day. Live for the moment and what that moment offers you.

You are a fabulous person. I feel very grateful that I stumbled upon your blog when I did because you have given me so much just from the words you write.

oh man! I love Bob Ross! I can't believe he is still on... I used to watch him when I stayed home sick from school, and he was so soothing, like, nothing is wrong, everything you do is fine, don't worry about a thing... awesome.

(ps. your blog is great. hang in there!)

Bob is awesome..he always lulls me into a coma...people just say stuff because they think they connect on your level...I had all these people tell me about car accidents when we went through our little tragedy..ignore the stupidity of what they are saying and realize they just want to be there for you...or tell them to .... off, like I did..hahaha
