Super Son, At the Hospital

There is a fancy dancy parent room at the paediatric unit where I can post this. His surgery went well, but they removed 2 lymph nodes instead of just one. He has a drainage tube running out of his neck and he looks a little like a cyborg. Where they cut into him is huge. Much larger than I expected. Poor guy. He's 14 and so concious about his looks. He is coming in and out of consciousness. I think it's the morphine that's knocking him out.

All in all things look good and we will get the pathology results back in 10 days to 2 weeks. Hopefully he'll be released tomorrow.

Onward and upward.

Thanks for everyone's support.

Ooooooo cyborg boy! Yippee for the op going well and love and luck for the test results.

The scar is bound to look bad now whilst it is fresh. I'm sure in time it will fade with the help of some Bio-oil and in the mean time I'm guessing he can come up with an amazing tail of superhero proportions to explain it to his mates.

How about, a raging bull was running down the street towards a group of small children and he had to leap in front of it and wrestle it to the ground using a lesser known Welsh mans WW2 technique of killing Gestapo attack dogs. He pushed his hand into the angry bull mouth, grabbed the beasts tongue, flipped it over, which caused the animals windpipe to collapse and seal over, ceasing it's ability to breath and killing it.

As the mighty beast fell his enormous horn caught the hero's neck causing a small gash...

Well you get the gist. Oh and yes, the Welsh man that told me that story of saving his platoon from a bunch of savage German attack dogs by turning their tongues over was my Grandfather :) He never talked about what he did in the war to anyone, but he did tell a great yarn of the MOST ENORMOUS proportions.

Big hugs!

That's great!

He's already making up a scenario of being in fight and winning despite a knife wound to the neck.

Apparently you two think alike!

I am a Stage 3B Cervical Cancer Survivor. I created this blog in an effort to raise Cervical Cancer Awareness. I was 28 when I was diagnosed with advanced Cervical Cancer and my story is a long, painful & inspiring one. Cervical Cancer is not talked about but it touches the lives of every single woman out there. We need to start talking about this cancer because it is not rare and it does kill.

Hope you get a chance to check out my blog. www.cancerlost.blogspot.com
