Getting Ready

I am one of the 420 photographers that have participated the Photosensitive, Cancer Connections project. After touring across Canada it has finally arrived in Vancouver!

I'm very excited! This is going to be such a big day for me. Living post cancer has meant that I've spent most of my time living rather than accomplishing much of anything. I used to have paintings selling in galleries but now most of my energy is spent on surviving day to day.

I'm very proud of the photos I took while going through treatment. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to let it be seen by thousands of people all across the country and hopefully making a difference in what the face of cancer looks like.

The opening is at 10am on Tuesday April 20 at the Granville Square Plaza, 200 Granville Street in Vancouver.

I've been digging through my closet to find something to wear. There will be a picture taken of me with my 16" x 20" black and white photo. I want to be colourful, healthy and happy in contrast.

It's going to be a great day.

Congratulations. You've already done such an awesome job at giving a face, and a voice to cancer-I know your exhibit will be amazing. Good luck, and good health. xox
