I was really sad today to hear about the passing of Betty Fox. She kept her son, Terry Fox's memory and passion alive after his passing 30 years ago. My sons have had the honour of meeting her and her husband when they came to speak at their schools. She never gave up the hope and it felt to me like Terry Fox's mission was alive and well through them. I often saw her smiling face on TV when she was at the events in our city.
If anyone was a warrior it was her. She lost so much but kept on smiling and changing lives. Some people in life give so much and I am thankful for that.
