Mild Cold -Day 4

This is the fourth day.

It's dark. It's lonely. It's cold. There is unrelenting torrential rain and floods. There are weird little bugs in my flour. I had to throw it out.

There are piles upon piles of Kleenex boxes tossed willy nilly about the room. The TV has been my constant companion, despite how I hate it, it's been there for me. Thanks Judge Judy.

There are unappreciative little smucks that I gave birth to about, but they won't bring me tea and noodles. Damned them. This must be that gnome incident coming back to bite me in the ass.

I had an actual invitation to go out on Friday but had to pass. Curse this Mild Cold of Death.

To top it all off...there was no milk for my tea this morning. I dropped to my knees and cursed the gods, then wept for forgiveness. This devastating set of events sent me into a spiralling mode of self pity and back under my covers....just like Gollum.

*This blog post is based on a true story. Some events may or may not have been added or embellished to invoke sympathy.

Pffft, no sympathy from me missy! I have the flu, yet because Jon is in London I have to take Widget to the Vets this afternoon... no car, just carrying him in his cat basket. I'm guessing by the end of it I will be a sweaty aching wreck that just flops on the floor. If only everyone else wasn't at collage or work, I would ask them to do it.

I hope you feel better soon hun. Drink lots of honey and lemon filled black tea. It's sure to help. Tell those boys of yours that if they don't make you food and drinks or you will get more gnomes.

Hee, hee. Gnomes.

I hope you and your cat made it back without too much injury. No wonder my attempt at collecting sympathy failed. Trying to get a cat in a basket is a lot like trying to bottle sunshine...sunshine with claws...

I sent my son out for some milk so you can stop worrying about me now.

PS: I can't seem to leave comments on other Blogger blogs suddenly. I can't figure out why. How frustrating.

No milk for tea? You SO have my sympathy!

Seriously, I hope tomorrow is a better day.

I'm having a bit of a wheezy wallow myself, today, but plan to pull myself out of it with a Pride & Prejudice marathon . . . and a nebulizer.

The right tools for the right job!
